FAQ

Getting to the venue

Our wedding venue is the Buurtboerderij. It is an old farmhouse by Westerpark.

Public transport: Best to take the 10 tram and then walk about 15 minutes across and out the other side of the park. (map

Route ...

  1. Get out of the 10 tram at the Van Hallstraat stop.

  2. Continue walking down the same street the tram was on (it turns off, don't follow it).  The park is 1.5 blocks away.

  3. Cross a small drawbridge into the park. (You'll see old red brick factory buildings to the right - that's where the after party will be.)

  4. Turn left and walk along the canal (this is a broad paved area).

  5. Turn right down the first path you come to.

  6. Keep going straight until you go through a tunnel under the raised train tracks.

    • Along the way, the path goes over some water, crosses several paths and goes past a petting zoo (kinderboerderij) on your left - but just keep going straight.

  7. After the train tracks, keep walking straight for a while.

  8. Turn left on the next proper street - Spaarndammerdijk.

  9. After the cemetery, you'll find Buurtboerderij on you left.

Bike...

Basically the same route as above.

Taxi...

Also an easy option.  TCA is a reliable taxi company.  Phone - 020 777 77 77

Driving...

You can park a car at the graveyard next to the venue.

Dress code

Dress code is casual chique. But we would like to remind you it's summer! Ladies: no black or white please. We're encouraging cocktail colorful.

Pro-tip: the grass and the farmhouse makes very high heels quite the challenge.

Gentlemen: suits are good (ok, even dark is fine).

We hope to see some dancing, so leave your too tight pants or dresses at home! Although we are expecting a nice summer evening, Dutch summers can be cold. Bring a warm vest or coat, just in case.
